When LS-LIVE, one of the UK’s premier Stage design and Set Build companies were commissioned to design, manufacture and build the Stage Set for Jay-Z’s Magna Carter World Tour, they approached us to produce a graphic solution to facilitate how the entire stage set was constructed, dismantled, branded and packaged!
Our brief was twofold.
Firstly, to design and produce a colour coded sticker system which would identify not only each of the 38 sections of the Stage Set but also every one of the individual components which made up the entire set. By identifying each separate component enabled the set builders to locate the various sections of the stage with ease, and erect and dismantle in much quicker time. Each set component not only had a unique colour coded part number but also had directional arrows indicating how things fitted together. Even every bolt hole had a colour coded circle indicating which size of pin went into which bolt hole. All in all over 14,000 stickers were created and applied.
Secondly, to design and produce information panels for the Dollies which contained and transported the set components across the world. The colour coded system along with colour coded staging diagrams were then applied to 38 off 2.2m x 1.4m graphic panels which were then fixed to the Dollies enabling the correct components to be housed in their correct location.
Further design requirements were designing the graphic for the drum kit, bespoke back stage passes and all the dressing room signage. The entire system proved an enormous success.

A fun retouching project for Glenbrae Knitwear! We were asked by the client to promote their ‘British Knitwear’ by adding a bespoke coloured union flag into one of their luxury garments. The image that appeared in the latest advertising campaign has created so much interest that our client is looking at the possibility of manufacturing the knitwear.

“SR Creative have been outstanding to work with. Working on both the AES Limited corporate identity and website, they fully understood the complex nature of our business and product range and by considered use of design have elevated our company image to a new level. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any type of creative design service.”

SR Creative were recently commissioned to rebrand Auto Electrical Supplies, Wakefield (AES). The company are specialist international distributors of flexible conduit systems and connector interfaces, which protect critical and electronic wiring assemblies in the automotive industry. The brand is being implemented throughout the company, and will include signage, stationery and workwear as well as packaging and labelling.
The brief also required SR Creative to provide a creative style of photography for the wide range of products AES distribute. We created dynamic and vibrant images by focussing on both the colour of the products and the graphic shapes these created. This brought to life, to what are in essence, a very simple set of products.
We have also been commissioned to design and build their new website which is nearing it’s final stages.
